Development of 3D Measuring Method
for Test Specimen

3D Measurement from images of deformed structural test specimens
Accurate measurement of deformation of a specimen
Determination of 3D Coordinates
Taking a picture with a reference sheet in the image
The position and the angle of the camera are computed using the reference sheet
The space coordinates of the object point are determined using photogrammetric method

Photogrammetric method

3D Shape measurement of a corroded steel tensile test coupon
Accurate evaluation of ultimate behaviors of corroded steel structure
Observation of 3D geometry after corrosion

Shape measuring system

Ball reference point
Surface Measuring System Using XY Stage{Laser Displacement Sensor
Usual shape measuring system covers only a part of an object. To measure a full shape of an object, some data patching method is necessary.
Use of Ball Reference Points
The shared reference points (3 points or more) in each surface are measured.
Whole 3D data is constructed by data patching method using shared reference points.
